Welcome To Yarnzee
About Yarnzee
Yarnzee was founded by me, Carmen, a lifelong fiber enthusiast, crafter, and problem solver.
Like many crafters and artists, I love secondhand shopping. But when it came to buying destashed yarn, the experience felt fragmented and frustrating. Reddit threads had overly complicated rules. eBay and Etsy were clearly not designed for fiber artists. There were no search filters for anything that actually mattered to us. I wanted to create a platform that felt like it was made for yarn lovers, by yarn lovers.
Yarnzee was created as a dedicated buy-and-sell marketplace for fiber enthusiasts. A place where knitters and crocheters can rehome yarn easily, search clearly, and connect with people who speak the same language.
What We Value
Fiber artists tend to be the salt of the earth. Truly the best people. And yes, I am biased.
I strive every day for Yarnzee to reflect those same values:
Honesty: Clear and accurate listings with reasonable pricing.
Kindness: Rehoming yarn so it can become someone else’s next project is, in itself, an act of kindness.
Community: Keeping yarn and money circulating within the people who love and understand it.
Why It Matters
Many of us support local yarn stores because we care about craft, creativity, and human connection. Yarnzee exists in that same spirit online. It is independently built, woman-owned, and community-centered. The goal is simple: create a space where fiber artists can trade thoughtfully, sustainably, and on their own terms.
Where It Started
I was introduced to fiber arts in high school, where I learned to knit, sew, embroider, and weave. I was always draw to clothes and doing things with my hands. Some of my earliest childhood memories involve sewing buttons onto scrap fabric, very 90s.
That early love of making things by hand eventually turned into a knitting obsession and, ultimately, building Yarnzee.
Outside of crafting and building Yarnzee, I am a dedicated physical therapist treating stroke and post-operative patients in the hospital.
